was going to make this without trades but what fun is that.
First Oakland trades #1 to Clevland for #3, #36 and maybe another pick next year with kind of side deal with Detroit where the Lions will give Oakland McCown for a 6th or 7th since this will help the Lions trade there pick to Tampa. Detroit trades #2 to Tampa for #4 and #35. Houston trades #10 to New England for # 24 and #28.
Chicago trades Lance Briggs, #31 and #94 to Buffalo for #12, #43, and #74. Buffalo then turns and trades #31and #111 to San Diego for Micheal Turner. Chicago trades #12 to Carolina for #14 and #83
1. Cle(Oak)- Jamarcus Russell qb. This would by Crennel some time with a rookie qb coming in. Phil Savage has a history with this kid.
2. TB(Det)- Calvin Johnson wr. Best player in the draft. Reminds me of a better version of Andre Johnson.
3. Oak(Cle)- Joe Thomas lt. There offensive line is a mess. Thomas should fix there problem at left tackle.
4. Det(TB)- Gaines Adams de. The tampa 2 relies on the front four getting pressure.
5. AZ- Jamaal Anderson de. Could use o-line help but Levi Brown would be a reach. Bertrand Berry and Chike Okeafor always seem to get dinged up.
6. Was- Amobi Okoye dt. The skins need to upgrade their d-line. They will probably keep trying to trade this pick right up to the last second.
7. Min- Brady Quinn qb. Vikes have a lot of offensive needs and would probably love to move out of this spot. Quinn might have to much value to pass up at this point.
8. Atl(Hou)- Laron Landry s. Could go after Peterson here. Atl always seems to be looking for a safety.
9. Mia- Alan Branch dt. Keith Traylor is old. They could try to trade up for Quinn.
10. NE(hou-atl)- Adrian Peterson rb. They lost Corey Dillion and Laurence Maroney had surgery on his shoulder.
11. SF- Adam Carricker de. Would be a big help to their d-line should be a perfect fit for a 3-4 d-end.
12. Car(chi-buf)- Patrick Willis lb. Carolina needs help at linebacker and maybe willing to jump up ahead of Stl to get Willis.
13. Stl- Brandon Merriweather s. Their defense needs someone with some swagger. Merriweather is a reach here but if anyones ever seen their safetys try to tackle a running you can understand why they would make this reach.
14. Chi(Car)- Greg Olsen te. Gives Grossman another target. Could go after Levi Brown but Olsen would have more of an immediate impact. Instantly upgrades their red zone offense.
15. Pit- Jarvis Moss de. Could play de if they move to the 4-3 or olb if they stay in the 3-4.
16. GB- Marshawn Lynch rb. If Olsen falls here I think hes the pick. GB cant seriously plan on going into the season with Morency, Herron and Pope at running back.
17. Jax- Reggie Nelson s. Jax needs a playmaker at safety. Could go after a d-end if Moss falls this far.
18. Cin- Leon Hall cb. They can use anything on defense and anybody who hasnt been to jail. Their pass defense was tied for last and they lost Tory James.
19. Ten- Chris Houston cb. No Pac-Man next year. Houston is probably the best bump and run corner in the draft.
20. NYG- Robert Meachum wr. They have Burress but no compliment. Manning could use another target. Meachum would give them a legit #2 receiver.
21. Den- Tedd Ginn wr. Rod Smith has to retire some day. Would also give Denver a big upgrade in the return game.
22. Dal- Darrelle Revis cb. The secondary gave up a lot of big plays part because of their free safety problem but they signed Ken Hamlin but part of it was the corner play. Could go with Levi Brown instead here.
23. KC- Levi Brown lt. Lost Willie Roaf right before training camp last year, lost Jordan Black, and now Will Shields retired. They need o-line help could look at a receiver here.
24. Hou(NE-Sea)- Joe Staley lt. A good fit for their zone blocking scheme and Houston is desperate for o-line help.
25. NYJ- Charles Johnson de. Could use another end to play opposite Shaun Ellis. Could go after a corner here.
26. Phi- Paul Posluszny lb. Philly can use some help at linebacker. Could go after Justin Harrell or Lawrence Timmons here.
27. NO- Aaron Ross cb. Fred Thomas was a major liability last year. Could go after Justin Harrell or Lawrence Timmons here.
28. Hou(NE)- Ryan Kalil c. Another perfect fit for their zone blocking scheme. Kalil should step in and start for the next 10 years.
29. Bal- Lawrence Timmons lb. Would fill the void Adalius Thomas left
30. SD- Dwayne Bowe wr. They could really use some help at receiver.
31. SD(Buf-Chi)- Micheal Griffen s. Terrance Kiel is probably on his way to the clink and their safeties were even that good with him.
32. Ind- Steve Smith wr. I know they need help on defense but after Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison they have no one they had to bring Ricky Proehl out of retirement last year. They really need some wide out depth.
