I started with Green Bay in 1966 when I was 9 years old and they played the Dallas Cowboys - I think at the old Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas. Everyone around here (in Oklahoma) was...and still are Cowboys fans. So I wanted somebody else to root for. So Lombardi, Starr, Hornung, Nitschke, et al worked for me - and especially the legendary late, great former broadcaster Ray Scott - MAN, I loved the way he yelled so simply "STARR...to DOWLER...TOUCHDOWN Packers!!!". I was hooked from day one and have followed 'em ever since. I've been a proud "Cheesehead" in the media biz for 30+ years too and let all these Okies know about it, even during the lean years when the titles were definitely NOT coming to Titletown USA. Soooooooo thrilled with TThompson, MMcCarthy and the '10 Packers for a very UNexpected World Championship (after all the injuries, I just wanted 'em to make the playoffs) !
