Hi Everyone,

My wife is a huge Packer fan and I plan on taking her to a game this year. Which works out perfect because the Packers play the Raiders and I'm a Raiders fan. Please don't hate thank you. LOL.
What I'm looking for is the best experience possible for my wife when I take her to the game. The idea of tailgating and where to stay and the best seats and the best place to buy them. If you could help me out I would be greatly appreciated. Also if anybody has an idea of what the game-day is yet that would be awesome to so I can get started. Just so you know I may be a Raiders fan but I've always liked the Packers

Thank you
Alex

Get your preferred list of 10 area hotels together now. When the schedule is released in april, start dialing/keyboarding to get your reservation. The rooms fill up fast.

Thank you for that info, Can you tell the best places to stay? Is there anyway to join in a tailgate party with locals to have the real deal?

Best place to stay is my bed. I don't hotel in the area so I wouldn't really know. I also rarely tailgate. I can leave home an hour before kickoff, park, and get to my seat for the national anthem.

Hey man, my uncle is a Raiders fan. It's okay... well actually not after last season. Sorry. Anyways, get to tailgating and the stadium as early as possible. There's no way to go wrong. Every bar in the area has something happening. Whether it be a mechanical bull in the parking lot or classic drinking games. It's a good atmosphere. As long as one of you is a Packers fan there is no way you wont have fun. Let me know how you feel and I'll let you know of some of the other spots off-field.

Any information you can give me on where to stay where to go what to see would be awesome. I plan on being there Friday through Monday for that weekend's game whatever weekend it may fall on.

Kohler lodging is the nicest new hotel. Close to the stadium. USB ports under the bathroom mirrors. Pretty decent. Also the local craft breweries are definitely worth checking out.

Title town brewery is one that I've enjoyed as well as the hinterland brewery, which is right across the street. The copper street brewery is also within walking distance. However, badger state brewing is the closest to the stadium if your trying to stay in campus per se.

You did read the links LTF provided, didn't you. It's so we don't have to rehash this same info everytime someone makes their first trip to GB. Hotels will depend on your budget as Kohler and the Paper Valley are quite pricey. Even mom & pop 10 room places in tiny burgs with out a stop light fill up and have Packer home game surcharges. Technically not surcharges but full fare, no discounts.

Northland Hotel is newly remodeled (very nice) and downtown Green Bay. Short walk to birthplace of the Packers. One of the nicest dinning places, the walnut room, is there. Interesting places nearby. If you are into wines, aardvark is self serve wine bar. Angelina's is my favorite place.

Yes i did read the thread that he sent me. But as you can see there are people who are willing to give information as to what they recommend. I am sorry if you think this thread is a inconvenience. Just like to get as much help as possible to plan my trip. Knowing that all hotels will fill up is great info to know. I would not have expected that. Thank you.

The evening before games the Radisson hosts the team for pregame meetings. So you can see numerous players walking in and around the hotel. Can’t ask for autographs but can see them up close and personal like. Lombardi’s Sports Bar is located in the Casino and has lots of great memorabilia in there as well.

GO PACK GO!!!
