In that case he will be either put on injured reserve or get released.Montgomery has borderline speed to be an effective gunner. I think there are other players whose athleticism is better suited to play the position but there are question marks about thembeing able to duplicate Janis' performance. I don't think Janis is an integral part of another special teams unit.There's no doubt Janis would have made the roster because of his performance in special teams if he hadn't suffered the injury. Right now other players will get the chance to prove he's expandable on these units.</blockquote>
