You put 5 or even 10M guaranteed on an extension, especially if you add a couple small void years, the cap saving can nearly be identical, you avoid injury settlement BS, Bakh stays where he wants with a chance if healthy of playing...and if not the cost and risk was very small, but massive up swing.
