two different threads I saw here.

Hello, I'm Tim, my dad's family has always rooted for the packers as a matter of tradition, but locally the team I took as favorite was the Redskins. (So I enjoy rooting for both.)

On Amerson. Backup, overpaid in Oakland. I would not sign him to be a starter. Backup maybe. We were disappointed in him in DC.

As to Fuller who got traded to Kansas City so they could acquire Alex Smith. Man that hurt. He was looking to be a key piece of the defense here in DC. I'm sad to see him go.

I've got no wisdom on the Packers finding a quality starter though. But I'd be Leary about Amerson.

There are a lot of names on there that could be useful. (oh Kyle Fuller is on here from Chicago. forgot he was a FA kendal's brother this year)

Lots of names I recognize on this list. So maybe its not too bad, but a corner is going to want a lot of money. which brings up the Cap Room Problem :/

My list after looking at the full list of free agent cornerbacks starts and ends with Kyle Fuller. I've always liked trumaine Johnson and wanted TT to draft him but at 28 and likely commanding a contract in the 12 m per range I think I'm good. I think fuller can be had in the 8 m per range

He falls somewhere between House and Randall, leaning Randall. I see Randall as a #2 and I have House as a #4 Corner.

We could ideally use a #1 Veteran leader
What we really need is Charles Woodson 2.0.

It won’t take much to top House and it isn’t an ideal year for top tier Corners in FA, so any upgrade from House is warranted as long as the $ is reasonable.

The thing is, last year his play would place him well below House. He has played much better in the past, but it’s essentially been one good season. So either that season was a fluke, or he mails it in once he gets paid.

I’d rather have the Raiders’ other corner— UFA T.J. Carrie. He thrived in the slot this last year.

Something must be done about the CB group. What was the plan last year, exactly? To pray that the gaping hole at the position would fill itself?
The plan last year was to sign House and draft King. You may not like that, but it was quite a bit more than just a prayer.

Talib anyone? I’d take him over anyone available this FA (other than Sherman of course)

He was really good two years ago, a bit less-so now.

I suppose it depends on how much he wants and how much he has left.

Sounds like the Broncos are trying to trade Talib (and Emmanuel Sanders), but not finding any takers, which may mean he just ends up being released. Talib's current contract really isn't that "unfriendly" when you consider you have to pay him $12M this year, but only $8M next year, for an average of $10M/year. Not sure there are any other better CB's out there for that kind of money. However, what would the Packers be willing to trade to get him and that contract? For those yelling "Cobb, Mathews, Jordy", I doubt Denver wants their contracts either. ;)

Vontae Davis is available. He is much more attractive than Amerson.
