The Washington Redskins have deactivated defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth for Sunday night's game against the Indianapolis Colts. It is the second consecutive week that Haynesworth has been deactivated; he missed last week's 16-13 overtime win against the Packers following the death of his half-brother, Lance McCoy, in a motorcycle accident.

Haynesworth was considered a game-time decision leading up to the matchup for the 3-2 Redskins, but coach Mike Shanahan listed him inactive prior to the game.

Haynesworth spoke to Andrea Kremer of NBC and profootballtalk.com reported that he told Kremer he believes he is ready to play, despite being inactive. He told her that "football is my escape from life," and he would have "loved to play" in Sunday night's game against the 3-2 Colts.
