This is our standard for success now? That we almost beat the Bears in Chicago?

I guess so that’s the new GB standard. You guys are the ones touting Chicago.
I’m not afraid of Chicago or Minnesota or Detroit anymore. They’ve all shown cracks in their collective armor. Now Seattle or SF back in their Hay Day I understand. But Chicago? Minnesota? Detroit?

It’s just as possible 2 of those 3 don’t even see postseason imo. I heard the same scare crap after 2024 and what happened?? Matter if fact the media has been playing the Chicago card since Justin Fields. What a joke.

I'm not touting Chicago. I said I saw a video and the guy on there predicted them to win the division.
But I agree it's very possible NFC North teams don't make the playoffs. The real question is can a Love-led team finish better than the 7th seed?

Well that’s fine maybe you aren’t specifically so I apologize. Still it’s just more an undertow of a dismal outlook in here when really there’s very little to be concerned about imo.
I think so is my answer to your question Again it’s my opinion but I’d personally take my chances with the 2026 current situation over that show of injuries last year. We were a #1 Seed at 9-3-1 in what was supposed to be the 2nd toughest Division in Football. Then players started dropping WR1, OC, TE1, DT1, Edge1, RT. We were still very much alive but bleeding pretty good also. Our depth was substandard at best.

So we have WR1, TE1, DT1, RT + our Edge on the mend and an OC who at least gets time to learn the position. Plus day better depth at CB, DT, Edge, WR, OL. Plus a pair of Guards playing into their 2nd season together, which is important. A RD1 upside LT over a pedestrian RD7 LT.
Plus wealth of knowledge at D Coaching added with Bullocks, Babich and Gannon. We saw last season what experienced Coaching can do pretty quickly into a season in Chicago. We’ve also beefed up our D player inventory RD2,RD3,RD4,RD5 (2025) RD6 and switched out Hargrave for Rashan and Zaire for Quay, who’s are comparable impact options. We really didn’t lose anything but bring better depth with at a 1/2 Dozen positions. Not to mention players entering their prime years such as Jordan Love.

You know it’s good when posters complain about our backup QB being gone. I take that as a supreme compliment.

I'm admittedly getting more pessimistic in recent years. Maybe it's withdrawal from not having a HOF quarterback. Maybe it's the length of time since the last Super Bowl. Maybe it's the inability of MLF to get us over the hump. Maybe it was last season's inability to finish games, or the season. It was fun watching Parson last year though, until he got hurt.

Hopefully "Let Jordan Cook" isn't the next wet faRt in the wind like "All Gas, No f'N Brakes" was.

It's been my experience that wet faRts never make it to "the wind". They just kinda lodge there... and squish around.

...and this is where I'm sitting as well. The Pack are riding a 5-game losing streak going back into last season (which is like skating on last year's ice) and I recognize there were injuries to end the season ... but my bold prediction would be along the line of Poppa's if I was forced at brat-point to make an uneducated prediction.

This is what I've been saying. I like to be optimistic, but they're going to have to show me. And it seems like our schedule is brutal every year, it gets tiresome.

A lot of sources are giving the Bears the nod. And rightfully so. They were the division champs. But it is said to be very close. So there is wiggle room. The NFC West can be a tight one again as well.
