But I agree it's very possible NFC North teams don't make the playoffs. The real question is can a Love-led team finish better than the 7th seed?
Well that’s fine maybe you aren’t specifically so I apologize. Still it’s just more an undertow of a dismal outlook in here when really there’s very little to be concerned about imo.
I think so is my answer to your question Again it’s my opinion but I’d personally take my chances with the 2026 current situation over that show of injuries last year. We were a #1 Seed at 9-3-1 in what was supposed to be the 2nd toughest Division in Football. Then players started dropping WR1, OC, TE1, DT1, Edge1, RT. We were still very much alive but bleeding pretty good also. Our depth was substandard at best.
So we have WR1, TE1, DT1, RT + our Edge on the mend and an OC who at least gets time to learn the position. Plus day better depth at CB, DT, Edge, WR, OL. Plus a pair of Guards playing into their 2nd season together, which is important. A RD1 upside LT over a pedestrian RD7 LT.
Plus wealth of knowledge at D Coaching added with Bullocks, Babich and Gannon. We saw last season what experienced Coaching can do pretty quickly into a season in Chicago. We’ve also beefed up our D player inventory RD2,RD3,RD4,RD5 (2025) RD6 and switched out Hargrave for Rashan and Zaire for Quay, who’s are comparable impact options. We really didn’t lose anything but bring better depth with at a 1/2 Dozen positions. Not to mention players entering their prime years such as Jordan Love.
You know it’s good when posters complain about our backup QB being gone. I take that as a supreme compliment.
