Short slide in this scenario I predicted they jumped up with very minimal cost to them to add a OL, and their interior is severely lacking, which is why I had them grab Graham Barton. They had picked MHJr at #3 earlier. I think another viable option would be them targeting a CB perhaps, maybe...
Not even close to how I see it.
If Dillard is playing...
#1 - Our OL room suffers not one, not two but likely minimum three injuries to the room.
#2 - Dillard meets his physical make up and it comes together providing a sufficient Tackle or RG starter.
1.25 - Traded 1.25/5.169 for 1.27/4.104
1.27 Chop Robinson ED Penn State
Why:...in this rendition of the what I think will happen all DB options were gone that I'd trade up for by the 19th pick (Quinyon, Terrion and DeJean all gone). Kool-Aid then went before us but after 19. Any edge I would...
Pro Bowl....LOL I think even his biggest advocates would say that's a pipe dream, while riding a unicorn. Wilson is a back with the tools, has changed his body structure this off season and is rumored to have gotten even quicker. Even if we draft someone, Wilson is going to have a large part to...
There are three things which I don't see as what I think ought to be done which in all likelihood Gute does one of them:
- Doesn't draft a safety until our fifth pick or later.
- Drafts a WR before Day2 ends.
- Doesn't draft an OL until our fifth pick or later.
There are two types of WRs if we have to be dumb and cannot deny a prospect for that room that I'm good with.....a Xavier Lagette/Johnny Wilson type bigger one OR give me a Malik Washington/Jacob Cowing type.
Not a fan of any WRs till Day 3 (which I like Anthony Gould at that point)...but if we...
I am not saying Gute is gonna pass a RB he sees immense value in because of him, but I also don’t think with the addition of Jacobs and resigning of Dillon that Gute is as tremendously worried about the position as many of us might be.
Wilson’s vision in many of his rushes in the preseason...
Rookie, and tiny school. Playbook digestion, play call and responsibility changes that all come out of one play but depend on defensive alignment and/or audibles and technique in blocking execution were the two biggest things I’d bet my house on.
I don't think folks realize how special Emanuel Wilson's physical profile and what his measurables show and how well he did in limited snaps and illustrated excellent vision.
His BMI was reported to be around 32...making him one of the thickest backs in the rookie class this past year.
He ran a...
Carlies is far more DB than Tariq was to be fair.
Carlies snap count this past year - 326 at FS / 150 Slot / 167 Box
Tariq in his final year - 110 at FS / 62 Slot / 263 Box
Carlies IMO at least was a far better coverage DB than Tariq was...his hips and footwork to me is far superior.
The...
I don't disagree in that both are more so tracked to being that switch to guard, but Morgan with just hair under 33 inch arms I see a lot more tackle than I do in Barton. I think GB would take either at 41, but I tend to agree very little chance at 25 just based off trends.
Yes and no. Testing numbers are a way they gauge what the physical traits of a player are....but that is just part of it.
I remember a scout sharing a story one time that he went to a pro day once for a school/region he had not been assigned to...a prospect there JUMPED out at him as one of the...
I think Kingsley and Jordan Morgan have to be acknowledged as being prototypical Packer types. I struggle predicting an OL pick in the first day but if either of these two are not picked at 41 - I think it is VERY likely one comes this way.
Yup! I am in the camp Gute is going to **** some folks off with his off ball selection possibly being a Trevin Wallace or a Curtis Jacobs type way before many assume he should.
