One could also make the argument that Brady's 2 SB losses were attributed to "luck" (Tyree & Manningham catches). In both games, TB12 gave his team a late 4th qtr lead only to see it disappear due (in part) to "lucky catches/plays".
Yes, TB is THAT close to having 6 SB wins! WOW!!
Here's a fact that ties into the "strength of opposition" discussion....
In their past 3 games, the Patriots have beaten 3 division leaders (at the time they played) by 20+ pts each game. This has not been done since 1960. Will the Pats add ANOTHER division leader to their "path of...
Good write-up by McGinn. His scouting report on the Pats is very thorough and accurate. Since week 4, the Patriots (much like GB) have found their identity and have not looked back. To judge either team on weeks 1-4 is just plain foolish!
The other point he brings up, which can't be...
In the grand scheme of things, this game is (relatively) insignificant. In other words, a loss against a non-conference opponent hurts much less than a loss to a division foe or a loss to a conference rival.
With this being said, I fully expect the Pats to give GB a number of looks & plays...
This sort of comparison really means nothing and it does not make sense.
IMO, the more relevant comparison would be "Jordy Nelson vs. Pats CB's" and "Brandon LaFell vs Pack CB's". It's not like Nelson and LaFell will be battling each other, is it? ....
back to serious talk.....
Of course, I am planning on wearing a brady jersey to the game on Sunday and expect to be harassed about it. Would it be that much worse if I were to wear one of Brady's UM jerseys? Do people in Wisconsin despise UMichigan that much?
Let's get creative here. This is the same ol' hashed up garbage people have been saying about the Pats for the past 14yrs. Seriously.
The only history Belichick & Brady have in Lambeau is a 35-0 "boat race" over the Pack in which they knocked Favre out of the game and broke Rodgers...
Good point!......Wright's TD's speak much more to the attention which opponents are giving Gronk in the red zone. Not only have Wright's TD's been for very short yardage, but he has been uncovered on most of them.
