    Garrison Hearst was never on the cover of Madden.

    edit: Yes he was. I had never seen him on the cover. Turns out they made two different Madden 99 covers.

    the year favre was on he ended up on the jets and had a good first half of the year then went on a huge losing streak while throwing a ton of picks

    Maybe we could work out a compromise. Rodgers deserves a game cover. Madden carries "the curse." Rodgers has the title belt celebration. Maybe they could put Aaron in the title belt pose on the COVER OF THE WWE game. Just a thought.

    I wouldn't use the Madden Curse as an excuse. I'm a firm believer in superstitions, including the curse. Call me crazy, but I have a hard time believing that certain things happen because of "coincidence". I voted for Julius Peppers for a reason, you know?

    As a matter of fact, the Favre thing is one of the major reasons why I believe in the curse. Here's my theory: At the time he was considered for the Madden '08 cover, he was retired as a Packer. He was on the cover as a Packer. Sure, they changed it so he was a Jet on the cover, but I believe that the curse had a hand in the '08 Packers offseason because the moment he unretired and considered playing for the Vikings, the Favre we knew as a Packer was gone. I don't think that's the prime reason he did so, but I believe that was a factor. Sure, he had his career year exactly one year later, but he did so as a Viking, the Packers' arch rival.
