NFL 2023 weekly prediction contest: Week 1

We need a host or hostess. I don't have time to do everything for you sorry losers*.

previous years rules:
ALL are welcome to play along!!

Choose the points of each team of each game...
Each game you pick the correct winner of: 5 points
If you pick correctly on at least half the games scheduled for the week: 50 points
If you pick correctly on at least 75% of the games: 75 points
If you get all but one of the games correct: 100 points
If you nail it on all the games: 150 points
And ..... If you guess both the correct winner and score of any game: 125 bonus points tacked on for each correct game.
If you've got incredibly mad skills and happen to guess every correct score of every game: you get a mega jackpot of 5000 points.

ETA: I would be agreeable to the half and 3/4 points being a bonus but lower amounts like 20 and 40

That sounds like a good plan. It would reward those who did better in choices, since it removes gray areas in the scoring.

The bonus makes a big difference between 7 & 8 wins this week fer instance. Also 11 wins should be 55 points so you actually lost points giving just 50 and there was no reward for 11 over 9. Granted it made tabulating the scores easier. Unless someone has a valid reason, I'll update the scoring rules before the last game. Until we get a host maybe the honor system to post your own scores by say Wed night. Don't edit the post, reply instead. I use edit time stamp to monitor those who want to evade the system.
