Bob McGinn, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers OG Kevin Barry (quadriceps) is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation from a torn quadriceps muscle, according to his agent Russell Wittman. Barry has also lost 14 pounds in the past five weeks.

Bob McGinn, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports the Green Bay Packers have begun having exploratory talks with some NFL teams about trading OG Kevin Barry for a draft choice, according to an NFL club executive.

this would be excellent, he obviously doesn't fit in our scheme, maybe we can get a 5th or 6th for him!

I would be pleasantly surprised if Thompson could get a draft pick or anything better than a marginal player for Barry. He's destined to be cut anyway. I loved him in Mike Sherman's power formation, but I don't see him being of any value to the Packers under the current scheme. Possibly Thompson could trade him for another player who's not likely to make his team's roster.
