Agreed and I have been starting to wonder "What will happen to Pettine if MM is fired?" I hope if MM is fired, a new coach will want to retain Pettine. But I can understand a new coach wanting to come in and bring in "his guys" too, especially a DC. While yesterday gives the Packers and fans some hope, I am not putting much stock in that win due to the fact that Miami came to Green Bay a pretty banged up and not that spectacular of a team even when healthy. Hard to forget the way that the Packers have played up to this point to ignore the fact that something is off and it very well may be time for a new HC. I was optimistic when Philbin was brought back, thinking MM would be less involved in the offense and the offense itself would take on a new look, neither seems to have happened. Pettine has been a nice change, we aren't seeing the snow ball effect of a few bad plays making the defense completely spiral out that we seemed to see with Capers. I think we see something similar to that happening on the offense and possibly the only way to change that is with a new HC. At minimum, if the Packer front office still thinks MM is a great HC, then let him be just that, strip the play calling from him and bring in a guy that can kick start the offense. Belichick has Josh McDaniels, we need a JM.
