Message: <blockquote data-quote="Bundesbiers" data-source="post: 549519" data-attributes="member: 9599">Similar to what PF71 said above, I think Brazil clearly bit off more than they could chew.  I think there will be some problems, not withstanding the lengths that some teams fans will have to travel just within Brazil.  The USA team will travel more miles to play their games than any other team, and the city choices were quite poor.We saw the protests from the Brazilians last year, and it's not because they don't like soccer.  They protested because they pay 1st world taxes, but receive 3rd world services in return for the amount of tax that they pay.  And when the Brazilian gov't decided to pay a lot of tax money to fund the stadiums, the people rioted.  They should have seen that coming.  And now, the stadiums are WAYYYYYYY behind schedule, and the stadium that will host the opener, is the one in worst shape.Time to save face and disaster and pull the Qatar one away.  How many workers have died working on those stadiums already?  Way too many, and they treat their workers like slaves.  FIFA needs an overhaul.</blockquote>
