Yet I took an entire Summer of Chung Do Kwon and I’m talking devoted like stayed after classes to train (no AC either only a fan and we were not even allowed to rope our sweat and I’m being honest.l)  Btw, of the owner pairs was a Seargent on the Police dept. Those 2 instructors traveled regularly to Korea to master it. In less than 4 months of regular training I was a lowly Yellow Belt. This art works in a slow painstaking award of stripes, so that’s only 2 levels. It’s mostly hand to hand moves and throws (Judo) and 75% using your legs for Kicks and leverage. Reminds me a little of a modern Jujitsu.  I teach my 6yr old techniques and so far we practice pressure points for fun. At 55lbs (she’s solid) I’m confident she could hurt a 100lb boy badly if she’s attacked or get away from someone 2X her size. However she already knows the most important rule I was taught. To extract yourself from danger with distance (or having a better story rehearsed than the verbal ruse being presented) and swallow your pride to see another day. The best self defense is no defense or not having to use what you’ve practiced. That guy learned this principle the hard way! Thanks for sharing.</blockquote>
