This is something that many forget to consider. In Changing Laws. Who obeys Laws? Law Obiding Citizens who are likely Sober or coherent or non violent. Who doesn’t obey Laws? Ok I think you get the message. Career Criminals or someone with medication issues could absolutely positively care less about a firearm law. Logical coherent people make Laws. They also expect everyone to follow the Law as if they were logical or compassionate towards the Rules of Law. Unfortunately that’s just not reality. Lawmakers and those of us citizens think if we change a Law that criminals will follow suit. Nothing can be further from the truth. Career criminals 100% don’t think like us normal folks and many have ZERO compassion or level of reason. Matter of fact? They use our Laws against us that’s why they are consistently breaking them. Make a Law and I’ll show you thousands of examples of how they not be ignored… they’ll be actively and purposefully used against Law abiding Citizens. You’ve got to think like a criminal to catch a criminal. This is why Profiling is such an effective craft. Laws mostly only make it harder for Law abiding Citizens. Make the Penalty harsh, that’s one avenue to consider. Such as no parole no bail no time served etc. lengthy prison sentence for a known criminal in possession transporting weapons. Many of today’s Torts are carried out by people who should’ve served 3X the sentencing prove been jailed and released multiple times. Meanwhile we have Marijuanna sellers doing Life Terms. Am I the only one who sees this stuff? They don’t have a problem with DUI in Saudi Arabia. Go look at why. We have to agree to drastically change the Sentencing phase.
