I'm not a Lombardi expert by any means but I do not believe he couldn't take a loss and find something positive about it. I don't feel that way and I doubt Lombardi did either. That may be the way he talked as a motivational tool but if you believe that is the way he truly felt you also believe that he couldn't say "I'm proud of the way you guys played today. You played a hell of a game today and did everything you could but we came up short." If he truly felt it was win or else he would have to say "we failed and you guys are losers" Somehow I doubt Vince Lombardi truly thought of his players as losers even if they didn't win.</p></blockquote><p></p>
