What would you say the better way to get "starting line-up" players ready for the regular season,
play in the preseason games, or a consistent full day of practice?

I notice some teams believe in using their first sting players in preseason game.

Either way the importance here is staying heathy.

So if there was anything learned from our Colts game it was that Indi lost 4 starters in the first half. 1 wrapped in a leg brace and was carted off on a stretcher. I think God spoke pretty matter of fact what that implies.

That said. I’d balance that concept. Like give the #1’s just 1 productive Series or let them play until they can convert a couple 1st Downs or score. Call it 1Qtr. If they march down to the opponent 15 yard line and kick a FG I’d pull them etc.

No offense, but it's a pointless question because there is no correct answer.

Both methods lead to injuries. I believe that John Harbaugh is one of the coaches that plays his #1s throughout the preseason. I don't think that they have been much worse off in terms of injuries, but it also hasn't help them win a Super Bowl. Like the Packers, they are a perpetual playoff team without a recent championship.

As a coach, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Therefore they should just do whatever they feel and ignore the fallout.

Pretty much like, without 20/20 hindsight, most aspects of running a football team?

Agreed. But I don't hold a lack of super bowls against them. He is a great coach and I have to admit the QB became a lot better than I thought he would and stayed pretty healthy. Not to mention that last year they lost a playoff game because a normally reliable TE dropped a ball in the endzone. **** happens.

Keep the players in bubble wrap and unbox them for the Lions game. :D
Lions feel locked in their den. The sour after taste of the home loss to Washington has them starving to get back in a real game.

I guess I'll stick this in this thread. Anyway, I know it's last minute, but if anyone is interested in my 4 tix for tomorrow's game, DM me. Free as long as you don't resell them.

Feel free to post your tickets again during the season! :D

Maybe the mods can find a way to create a special forum on here for ticketholders to discretely sell their tickets to other "verified" forum members. I still wish that the Packers would create a way for ticketholders to sell to those on the season ticket list.

I've got to dump two of my tickets for the Bengals game in October so that I can get four together for my group. It's never easy!
