Smart thing to do when I look at GB is to balance picks and not be afraid to use a 2027 Day 3 packaged to really feel good about locking an ideal prospect that’s ear shot from our natural selection. I do like that Overall GB is spread evenly across Rounds. Many teams have gaps and I’d have those teams memorized to offer a solution that benefits us both. In my Mocks it’s almost imperative to have 1 pick in each round because when you see a guy we really like falling you need resources to make trade calls. A trade partner generally is ok with backing up 5-15 spots etc, but not so much negating an entire Round for the same reasoning. Also GB (Brian in particular) has done best in RD2, RD4, RD5 in recent history. RD3 for whatever reason gives us fits. I understand Kraft he was on my contest board, but Kraft was earlier RD3 not where we customarily choose. I have a tendency to trade into a Top 100-110 in interactives before Pick #96. You get all night to strategize and recalibrate your boards after Day 2 closes. I just think having a Top 5-10 pick to start each draft day is wise. Areas I’d trade into? #33-45 Leftover late Day 1’s. #60-75 #100-#160) leftover Day 2’s at least before being picked over too much) These are areas we’ve had good success in recent drafts. You can also get spread too thin. Meaning I’d rather have 8-10 QUALITY selections (9 is my magic number in Mocks) over a plethora of later Day 3’s that 50% would be UDFA’s. Over 11+ picks almost gets convoluted imo. Unless they are all RD1-5 no thanks.
