This is the "other Jefferson", Vanchii ("Van"). He was spotlighted on packerswire.com today. "Route running" means a couple of things. In this case it means in particular "detail" and "technique", the way he sets up corners into and out of his breaks. There's a lot of game tape on this guy, but this one is especially interesting: The analyst mentioned one route being a copy of an Adams move. There's another Adams move in this tape. If you watch some game tape you'll see more Adams-type looks. A few notes:

Every scouting report leads with the route running.
Perported negatives relative to the top prospects are speed/strength/size (6'1", 200 lbs., 32 3/4" arms, 9 1/8" hands). I don't think speed is so much of an issue. The game tapes show he's a bit of a short strider but once he gets rolling these SEC corners are not closing much ground.
He drew 11 PI calls over two years, again against those SEC corners. I don't think a player can do that if he can't threaten with a deep route. The tape above shows some of how he does it.
Looks to have slot/perimeter flexibility. I'd say primarily slot but a guy who could flip/flop with Adams inside and outside, something both McCarthy and LaFleur liked to do.
His father was Shawn Jefferson, a 13 year, 7,000 yard NFL receiver and a current coach with the Jets.
Injury Issue: Surgery for a Jones fracture on the outside of one foot discovered at the Combine. The surgery was performed by Dr. Anderson in Green Bay, a premier orthopedist as many here are aware, with a typical recovery time of 6-8 weeks.
Like Shenault (pec surgery), he did not participate in the Combine drills except that Shenault ran the 40, there are no Pro Days, no on-site visits, no independent workouts, and no independent medical exams. What might happen is these players authorize medical record release to interested parties. Regardless, one expects both of these guys to be discounted especially given the unique shortage of supplemental info this year.
As a guy who could hit the ground running, a player Rodgers would appreciate for his detailed technique, I think where you have him, bottom of the 3rd., would be a good value pick. That's providing the Packers can get a clean post-surgery report. Foot and low ankle injuries give me pause.
