Do you always try and find ways to argue with people, honest question? You don't think he's worth a 1st another pick and the money, I don't think he's worth a 1st another pick and the money, yet here you are picking it apart. I had no flawed assumption. An over 30 injury prone player is not worth the 1st round pick another pick and the money, because it is significant. Is he or is he not due another 60 million on his contract? If you're going to trade 1st round picks for a guy under contract for multiple seasons, I don't think it's a flawed assumption at all to assume they're planning on keeping him around longer than 1 year. He's not some young ascending start coming off a rookie contract that some team without cap room is trying to trade to another team with lots of room and they're trading for the chance to audition him for a long term contract during that season. Regardless, the money left on the contract wasn't the point as it wasn't my intention to break down his contract. The reality of the matter is, exactly as I said, he would be due too much money from this team who has other young ascending guys to think about next year. Or do you disagree with that?
