[QUOTE="FrankRizzo, post: 476376, member: 2232"] Football, especially the NFL of course, is SO VIOLENT and BRUTAL. It's like small truck collisions. On every single play somewhere and usually a few places. It's nothing new either. Ask Gale Sayers, Billy Sims, Joe Theisman, Marcus DuPree, Bo Jackson, Sterling Sharpe, Dan Fouts, Lynn D*ckey. It's the only thing I hate about this sport. And it's why I am almost always 100% behind the league when they put in rules to try and outlaw the kinds of hits that result in the most injuries, severe injuries. Guapo is right, most of these cannot be blamed on the trainer at all. The hamstring strains, I am not sure of.... I remember Isaac Bruce of the Rams always pulled his early in his career. Then it went away.... coincidence or some change in stretching, practicing, not sure. Jordy had been durable for us his first 4 seasons so why his hammy is acting up now, not sure. The rolled ankle was obviously due to a crappy low pass where Jordy had to go down low, and got his foot stuck. Clay has had issues with the hammy before..... I suspect that too much weightlifting is to blame usually for the hammy's popping, but I don't know because I always have avoided squats and leg workouts because I don't like pain, and I do like my chicken legs just fine.
