Right on, didn't know he was advocating that haha...that is insane, zero chance. Maybe if somehow love is that good in practice and somebody offers you like 3 first round picks. But release? What's being paid to Cook can't be used as the reason they choose to go with cousins as qb. Yeah you're never gonna win a superbowl with cousins but that's not cooks fault. I'd agree it's not smart to pay a rb that kind of money unless you have your true franchise qb in position. Which is also the problem in carolina. Also it is definitely important that all 3 of those guys and jones are more flex,to steal a term from ff, than pure rb. They all are expected to contribute like a good 3rd/4th wr in the passing game. I don't mean the same routes, nessicarily, I mean the same results. Kamara 2017- 81/826/5 2018 81/709/4 2019 81/533/1 Mccaffery 2017 80/651/5 2018 107/867/6 2019 116/1005/4 Cook 2018 40/305/2 2019 53/519/0 Jones 2018 26/206/1 2019 49/474/3 So if you're getting 1000 yards rushing and 500 yards receiving from these guys....12 m doesn't seem as bad. I do understand the argument that running backs are easy to draft or even pick up as an undrafted guy. But I think when you have your unquestioned future hall of fame qb in what's likely his last 3 shots to win you a super bowl. The circumstances and player dictate at least some very serious consideration
