I wasn't arguing that TT didn't try and solve either position, I was arguing that the "moves" he made gravitated towards one dimensional....his own players or cheap. The "holes" I was referring to at RB were created when TT decided Lacy and Starks were adequate to begin the season. Remember, Monty wasn't a known commodity or even in the discussion at that time. So right out of the gate, TT is saying "these 2 are enough, if need be....we go to Brandon Burks....wait....Jhurell Pressley....wait......Don Jackson.....no....Kniles Davis....wait..Christian Michael" Had Monty not done what he did and I give MM or one of the coaches credit for him, not TT, the Packer running game would have been almost non-existent after Lacy went down. So yes, TT made some "moves" to try and cover his *** at RB, but again his moves were 5 cheap players, that were either his own PS guys or basically free. IMO, starting the season with only Lacy and Starks at RB, was a poor decision right out of the gate and pretty much everything that followed mimicked what he did with the CB position. Think Belichick would have done the same with both positions?
