First of all I liked the Shields contract. I argued a few years ago that he meant to the Packers what Richard Sherman meant to the Seahawks and poeple laughed at me. I thought he was way undervalued and was a great TT udfa find. Shields is one of my fav Packers and yes there are flexible options. No.2. please dont compare Drew Brees to Aaron Rodgers. If Rodgers doesnt go on a tear of all tears this group of guys finish 6-10 and are probably gone. Im not even gonna go with a Drew Brees vs Aaron Rodgers comparison. The Saints obviously didnt make a lot of good free agency moves. No.3 TT and MM are 1-3 in NFC Champ games. In fact if they dont win that nail bitter against the Bears (when they actually had a D) this would be more like talking about the "Buffalo Bills of NFC Champ games" No.4 I dont come out and post "fire Capers" and "Fire TT" every year. I like draft and develop but in todays game I believe you need to mix it up with some free agency. Doesn't mean you need to break the bank. I did go off on MM after choking away the NFC Champ game against Seattle. Its frustrating to hear MM say the same "cliches" every year when i am convinced that being more creative rather then "the committment to contract" would of got At Least. And i mean At Least 1 more Super Bowl.
