[QUOTE="OldSchool101, post: 1091204, member: 10086"] While I’m not in agreement on cutting everyone or trading everyone, I like your thinking out of box. Elgton is an easy one. After that imo we could cut Gary and declare him post June because we’d be under the cap already with Elgton. Picking up $19mil this year is ok because the other $8 would go into 2027 cap and feel like $6-7Mil sunk. Yet we’d have $19mil to sign other players, which is a significant chunk. Again I like Gary. I just think it’s time to double down on Lukas and bring Enagbare back team friendly. I also am high on Cox Jr. Not to mention we saw glimmers of potential with Sorrell so we’ve got some rotation there. We haven’t even considered Oliver because he’s been off radar. The second that cat gets on the field he performs. He’s a very underestimated Pass Rusher imo but his position change and injury kept him completely under radar. You don’t go pig double digit sacks and double digit TFL in a Power 5 program as a true Freshman just by accident. Just before Oliver was injured in his Senior 2024 season he was putting full display dominance. It’s my opinion Oliver was a Day2 selection all day long (due to size and needing refinement shedding) until he went down and carries injury concerns. Yet on that field? He’s a Baller and it’s why we chanced a 5th to get some future usage in 2026. A Gary departure would allow us to go resign 3 or 4 really good incumbents FA’s (Enagbare, Cox Jr, Wilson) and retain the other 1/2 for an outside FA. IMO Center of IDT 100% needs an upgrade. Imo id prefer we grab a Center upgrade now and turn our full attention to iDL with #52/#84 or whatever. We need a strategy to succeed Kenny and hold the fort until Wyatt returns.
