My feeling wouldn’t be hurt if we took a CB earlier in the draft, because that position is pretty important. Yet if we could attain needed talent perfectly aligned with need? My top areas would be ideally addressed with 2 Free Agents (outside) and draft picks. 1. OC or OG Proven +Starter to pair with Sean Rhyan or good enough to ask Sean to “move it on over a big old dog is moving in” 2. Backup QB Preferably with some live experience or high upside player similar to a Willis or Baltimore’s Huntley. 3. IDT (RD2) often these guys can be found earlier in the draft and often a Top 40 prospect is still hanging around at #52 Christen Miller Jr from UGA is a reasonable example without getting unrealistic. High echelon Run Defender who rated 99/100 on draftbuzz, which is very rare. 4. Edge (RD3) This would depend on our decision with Enagbare or Cox Jr status. If we resign both I’d push this down the needs list. 5. LB (RD4) While I’m not opposed to Quay overall. I suspect his performance won’t be commensurate to his contract. We have several LB’s on board as next man up, but I’d buffer this group even so. I’m wanting a peak at more Oliver and Hopper here. 6. WR (RD5) It’s a position needing constant attention. Plus, it’s likely we won’t match Doubs FA offer. I think he gets paid elsewhere. 7. CB (RD6) I’d make it a priority to resign Diggs, but he’s overvalued on his current structure. Likely a shorter 1 or 2 year prove it contract with lighter guaranteed, but heavier incentives if he regains form. If Diggs is not here I’d push this up the board RD4-5 7. Teams. (RD7) I say this because ST Doesn’t always get attention. In GB it can be an afterthought. I’m looking for a top Teams contributor with that skill set to upgrade. Might even eyeball Placekicker 8. TE/FB/Hback (RD7) I’d like a first pick of the Undrafted litter here. A pure blocking TE who’s a bull and has natural grit and instinct to find his opponent and regularly pitbull him or blow someone up. That 6’3.5” 250-260lb menace
