Message: <blockquote data-quote="Pokerbrat2000" data-source="post: 1045332" data-attributes="member: 7261">Oh I agree on being consistent.  Whether it is the first or the last play of the game, call it consistently.That said, I prefer a game that is called more loosely, but correctly.  That isn't to say that blatant pass interference or offsides isn't called.  But the nitpicky, constant delays for flags, slows the game down and really, puts a 3rd team on the field, the Refs.I will comment on this, while we are on the subject.  I used to argue with a certain poster, who seemed to have left with Captain, about instant replay.  He thought it ruined the game.  For years I said they needed another ref up in the booth, with access to video replay, to make smart, quick changes to bad calls.  They are finally doing it and I LOVE it!  Have seen it done a number of times this year and it has been very seamless.  Saves from coaches having to toss red flags or the days after the game of arguing how bad the call was and how it cost a team the game.  Kudos to the NFL for getting this right!Now all they need to do is use the GPS chips that are already in footballs, to get the spotting of the ball after the end of a play correct.</blockquote>
