Hard to find a lot to complain about! Like many I was really impressed with the defense. Even when Micah wasn't playing, the front seven was getting all sorts of pressure. Goff was never comfortable all day and we reduced what many expected to be one of the most explosive offenses in the league to basically check downs only. And of course many had plenty of questions regarding our run defense - and Detroit were expected to continue to have a great rushing attack - but we completely stifled them there, too. And even in limited usage, Parsons provided a pretty clear and immediate impact, and I expect that only gets better as weeks go on. on the flip side, OUR offensive line ensured Love was clean and comfy all day long. I know myself and many others were pretty concerned about some of our OL depth. They looked great today - IMO even the guys who were getting sub action looked perfectly capable. Really encouraging. Love looked really, really sharp. Absolutely no signs of lingering injury or any of that. He didn't really "need" to do much later on and wasn't perfect but he continues to show every now and then that special "something" that we invested in. As far as duds go, if I HAD to pick a few, and I'm being picky here... I guess mostly I had a few quibbles with minor play calling stuff. I remember one sequence where we were rolling pretty good, had a third and short and for whatever reason decided to trot out a Savion Williams direct snap up the gut. Feel like MLF just can't resist getting cute from time to time lol. Annoying to give up a late TD, but whatever. the coverage was good, just a freakish play from TeSlaa. Kind of sloppy (penalties) on ST. overall an extremely encouraging performance!
