No doubt about it, he's always been a winner. A point to think about. JJ was he was being recruited by colleges before he entered high school. He was recruited to play at Nazareth Academy which offered a top line football program and coaching. He did not attend a public school. Nazareth is a football machine. They began doing heavy recruiting back about 25 years ago and have one of the finest football programs in Illinois. Even that top notch program wasn't enough for JJ, he left there when Nazareth decided to cancel their football season due to covid, and enrolled in IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL which is specifically geared as a pre-college training ground for the best athletes to make their marks and be highly sought after for college. That means he went to two very highly successful high school programs geared for football. Choosing Michigan, when he did, was almost a guarantee for success considering his whole game was structured along the lines of what Michigan was offering on offense. It was a natural choice and at that time, Michigan was riding high as a constant contender for the national title. He's had a great career to this point and great casts of players surrounding him to help him succeed. He's proven he can do the job, at least when there's talent that complements his abilities. We're going to see just how much of his success was on him and how much on the surrounding cast, when he finally gets healthy. Personally, I think he could end up being decent NFL QB. It all depends on how they develop him.
