[QUOTE="weeds, post: 482513, member: 39"] I've never been a fan of the 3-4 - I guess that comes with the territory of being old school. ;) Capers?? I don't know...but I'm not about to trash one of "OUR" guys. I don't have a disdain for Capers, I just don't like the 3-4. Tramon is getting heat because either Buck or the other guy made a reference to Williams' "getting out of Peterson's way. He didn't want nothing to do with that." ...and that's all it took for it take on a life of its own. Williams is a 'cover guy'...never been a physical, in-your-grill, DB. Early in the game, he introduced himself to Peterson and got steamrolled ... haha ... that doesn't excuse him pulling up (in my opinion) 3 times after that, but, it does explain it somewhat. Wish I could say that a collision with a runner like Peterson wouldn't make me take pause. Being critical is one of the perks of being an old guy watching on TV. Peterson's running style reminds me so much of the punishing style that used to be John Brockington all those years ago. The guy's tree-trunk like legs are always moving. A running back whose cleats spend a minimum of time in the turf, and has a fully extended thrust leg in the running motion is just a punishing son-of-a-biscuit to bring down...and a DB trying to knock him off of his feet by shooting himself like a missile at his lower body with no wrap-up is just going to end up looking pretty fricken stupid. Still, in my opinion, Tramon's earlier encounter with Peterson's "hit and run" ... made him ... well ... scared (for lack of a better term). I can understand that, but can't accept it from a guy making 3 mil to be on that field. There are no "specialists" on an NFL defense. Calling someone "just a cover guy" just ain't cuttin' it.
