Message: <blockquote data-quote="JBlood" data-source="post: 578543" data-attributes="member: 16">Interesting that the midseason records you list come out to an average winning percentage of  .528.The Packers were 79-10-1 at midseason of their Championship years ('29, 30, 31,36, 39, 44, 61, 62, 65, 66, 67, 96, 2010).  Some seasons were 10 games, some 11, some 14 and some 16 games.  That midseason total is a winning percentage of .877, which would mean today's teams would need to be 7-1 at midseason to be on par with those teams.  The 2010 team was also 5-3 at midseason, but needed late season wins against the Giants and Bears, and a loss by other teams to get the no. 6 seed for the playoffs.  That team never lost a game by more than 4 points, and had the no. 2 defense in the NFL.  We've got some work to do to get to no. 14, that's for sure.</blockquote>
