I think he and the play caller(s) are having a bit of a power struggle.  AR has earned the respect and right to change plays at the line, with varying degrees of success.  I think the play callers are, at times, reigning him in and mandating a play (the goal line pass to Adams that was stopped short a few weeks ago comes to mind). Both parties have a certain amount of distrust or animosity towards the other with "their play" not working and they haven't figured-out a solution.  I may be reading a lot into this or making broad assumptions, but I think there's more to the  offensive dysfunction than just crappy routes and/or WR's not getting open.</blockquote>
