Great article. I'll still give all the credit to Wolf for doing the unthinkable/unbelievable, not once, but twice. I'm referring to the trade for Favre (which no one in Packerland understood at the time, well, almost no one), and then somehow convincing Reggie White, he who could go anywhere at any price he wanted, that lil ol Green Bay, WI was the place to be. I admit I wasn't a TT fan, and that was misplaced (RIP Ted). Ted was the guy who started this whole "roster within a roster" thing by drafting Rodgers. I hated the Rodgers pick. (OK, I hated the Love pick too.) I lived in Nor Cal in 2008 and worked in SF. I saw a lot of Rodgers play at Cal. To me, he had terrible form. On a drop back, he held the ball right up against his helmet. It got results in college, but he didn't look anything like an NFL QB to me. Same with Love for different reasons. TT's brilliance of course, and Gluten's, was taking these guys to study under future HOF QBs. That resulted in two SBs and a whole lot of wins and incredible entertaining games. And will Love provide a 3rd Lombardi (or more, we're greedy)? Who knows but it sure looks pretty good right now. (And to complete the picture, Wolf, TT and Gluten were/are all very good team builders. Like a lot of others, I eventually wanted more than two SBs between Rodgers and Love. But the GMs drafted, developed, and acquired the right guys a lot. We've are on a continuing 30 yard run. It takes an elite QB to win in the NFL. It also takes a fair amount of talent around him. And these GMs have, for the most part, delivered.) Thanks again Pike. Great article.
