Watson's dad posted on X about an hour ago that CW is fine... dont think he would post that if it wasn't true...sounds to me like we dodged one bullet.
Good. My interpretation after watching him on the sideline was this was not season ending. I’d guess a bruised shoulder or sprain etc. If I were betting he misses a couple of games at most.

Zach Tom stated in an interview that he didn't feel he had any structural damage to his knee.

Evan Williams, who also left with a knee injury said he will have tests done on his knee back in Green Bay, but says he doesn't feel as badly as when he missed 4 games in college from a knee injury he suffered.

Josh Whyle suffered a concussion

Our first playoff game is next week. Of course I want a Super Bowl, but if we can go to Chicago next week and win… I’ll be damn proud of this team. At this point it’s like Army/Navy (came out on the short end yeaterday there too). I hope we step up. I hope we get fierce and suprise people. Lay the groundwork for what happens next year when we get all these people BACK. For the perpetual negative morons, not sure what joy you find from your endless and predictable sour outlook. I hope you find something better in your life. Me? I’ll be looking for us to beat the bears (cuz they still suck)

After today we will not be favored. The players lost today played in the first Bears game. A whole different scenario next week. The Bears would have to revert to Nagy form all of a sudden.

I seriously wonder if the elevation didn’t factor in the 3rd-4th quarters.

I will say this. As bad as we looked in the second half. We still hung around until the last drive. That’s after 4 starters out etc. Denver was never going to be a cake walk. Sometimes the opponent has a good game and sometimes we don’t. It’s not like GB got blown out. GB led most of this game and wasn’t until mid 3rd Qtr when players started dropping that we began to slip. I mean we dropped 2 catchable INT and I’m not talking about another that bumbled through LVN area.

What I saw waaay to many flags (10)
-1 on Takeaways
Loss of 4 starters and these were our best players. Look at what happened to Detroit when Amon Ra went out. It absolutely takes a week or two to recover.
It didn’t help it was also noisy and elevation is a real thing by Qtr4. We looked gassed.

Just a week ago we talked about winning out and getting the #2 seed. Now we are talking about possibly losing out and going home after WK 18.

Without Parsons and Watson, we don't win that game last week. Bears will certainly be favored next week, and rightly so.

Never thought of that. Kind of like getting seasick playing in Frisco.
I was kinda watching guys suck the oxygen on the sideline. Imo it doesn’t hit you immediately. It’s like climbing at and it sneaks up as you continue through the game. Naturally you get more winded anyway, but I believe playing in that stadium is one of the tougher venues in the NFL. Romo also said so referring to the crowd noise and he’s played there a bunch.

Again. I totally understand the frustration. Imo GB needs 1 more Win and they’ll get a 7th seed. It’ll take 11 Wins to pass us for a spot. Detroit is the only team that could catch us. They’d need to Win out though and none of their games are easy. They host Pitt 7-6 and the travel to Minnesota and Chicago. If they lose any game and we win any game we’re in as a 7th at minimum. Odds are highly in our favor. Gotta keep in mind that Detroit loss yesterday was huge.

Hey @Thirteen Below! I totally understand the frustration as I just watched the same meltdown you did. Just a note though. We just held Denver to 2.9 yards per rush in their house and last week one of the best Rushing teams (Chicago) averaged 4.3 per carry which is near a full yard under their average. Matter of fact? GB had more success against Chicago at 4.5 per rush attempt. The Point being is not that we are favored in Chicago, it’s that the strength of our D aligns pretty well with Chicago. We also have Golden back and he actually led our WR’s this week and that was his first game back. Musgrave has also been rising into a true receiving TE1. This was his best game and had Love not thrown a pair of somewhat wild throws he would’ve by far led the Packers (one was low and tipped by the Defender instead of putting it up there, one throw was high and outside off his finger tips or maybe 6” from being more catchable.

Love was kinda throwing wild in the second half, which didn’t help matters. We have to put things in perspective. This was likely the toughest D we’ll face this season and we just popped them for 6.1 per carry. Also Denver was (and still is) ranked #1 in the league in Sacks, 3rd down% and Redzone Defense. I think people forget that part. That D is no slouch and we were really finishing 1 more drive away from at least making things interesting. 50/50 we would’ve won this game in GB imo.

I think the one game of the 3 that is winnable is the Ravens, although it will be difficult. Lamar will not face the pass rush. And without Watson and Tom we will not move down the field as quickly unless Jacobs has a big day.
As far as the Bears and Vikings on the road it will be nothing like the first encounters. Bears and Caleb will move the ball consistently by run or pass. The Vikings are rejuvenated and as we saw last night they will love nothing better than to knock us out.
Now if we do get into the postseason I would expect an early exit. No way can we stop the better offenses and QBs without Parsons. It just is what it is.

I noticed even the Bronco players were taking oxygen, and they must be acclimatized.

I don't know if you saw that post I made last week about the elevation, but the Denver NFL, NBA, and NHL teams all have the historically best home winning percentage in their respective leagues. That's not a fluke; there's a reason for that.

These are good points, but I think without Parsons, we have no pass rush. Williams will have a full second or more on his drop backs, giving their WRs all the time they need to expose our biggest weakness - the secondary. Johnson had an excellent 2nd half game plan last week, and we had no answer for it. They ground it out for 30 minutes, and scored on every possession. I don't expect our D to be any better at solving that this weekend than they were last weekend.

I'm pretty impressed with Johnson. I think he's turning out to be one hell of a coach, and will probably be Coach of the Year if they take the North.

I've rewatched the All22.

The turning point in this game wasn't when Parsons went down IMO nor when Watson went down...or Williams exited the game. Zach Tom was the most crucial loss of this entire game and we only managed one drive of any semblance of winning protection. Our OL could do nothing as a unit once Tom was out...it turned the entire game from our offensive perspective.

Shoot without Parsons and Williams our defense had two massive fourth down stops - TWO, when Payton was trying his damndest to put the game away.

This doesn't mean I feel Tom is a bigger loss than Parsons player wise...but one could for sure argue, it is easier to overcome Parsons' right now with what the rest of their respective units and backups are capable of...

Yes, Tom reduces pass pressure and strengthens the run game. And he is less likely to commit a holding penalty.

I don't think folks realize just how good the defense played all things considered once Parsons went down. Yes, some struggles, BUT you're talking about keeping us in the game multiple times in Denver, against one of the best teams, one of the best coaches trying to put the game away and that defense without IMO two of our best 3 or 4 players (Williams and Parsons) said no.

Want hope for Hafley and crew moving forward...rewatch those last few drives by Denver.

I would largely tend to agree.

On offense, we scored on our first five possessions, but "only" 2 TD and 3 FG. Of course this is still a good thing overall but it's also basically like leaving 2 TD on the table. Turn a couple of those FGs in to TDs and the whole game makeup is radically changed.

But no matter, that wasn't the deciding factor either IMO.

Yes Nix had a great day, and our secondary wasn't awesome. But in no small part due to Tom going out, the wheels absolutely FELL OFF our offense in the second half. Parsons loss will absolutely hurt but we 100% could've won that game if our offense had been able to do basically ANYTHING to close out the game.

Here's our second-half offense.
We open with a 71 yard drive that's capped off by a 40 yard TD from Jacobs. That puts us up 23-14.

After that?
1 play, 0 yards, INT (9 seconds)
6 plays, 11 yards, Punt (4m16s)
9 plays, 46 yards, FG (4m05s)
2 plays, 2 yards, INT (56s)
7 plays, 1 yard, downs (2m31s)
4 plays, -5 yards, downs (23s)

That's 29 plays for 55 yards, two INT, two turnovers on downs, a punt and a field goal.
1.89 yards per play on offense in the second half following that TD drive... like I said IMO if we do pretty much anything more on offense we probably are at worst able to sneak away with a close win

I'm confused as to Tom. Kennard seemed to be OK out there and the pressure, I thought, was coming from the inside. Run blocking I'm not sure. But having a back up tackle that's doing a decent job? It's hard for me to see how that turned the game around. They started getting pressure up the gut I thought. And maybe Kinnard doesn't take his man as wide as Tom.

The OL collectively was not the same once Tom went down. Kinnard did sufficient but we immediately needed to change protection calls, chip and assist more and that all has a trickle effect. Just rewatch the game, we survive the one drive (first one post injury) fine but barely - everything changed protection wise, it was noticeable.
