The Packers don't have the cap luxury of paying for a guy who should've played his way off the team. Why not replace King with a rookie who will have a lower cap hit? Even if the rookie sucks, so does King. By playing a rookie you save cap space and potentially develop a player who will improve. I don't buy the notion that Gute has some type of master plan that King fits into. He is working at the edge of the salary cap and everything he does is impacted by that hammer over his head. The same goes for Tyler Lancaster. He's just a body taking up roster space. Replacing his lack of production with a FA or 7th round draft pick saves money and doesn't lower the team's talent level.</p></blockquote><p></p>
