I get it. It seems like we have neglected our WR staff. And I do believe the addittion of a good WR will help the offense. But I don't see it as necessary. Brady did it more with Gronk and 1 good WR (not near as good as Adams). I'm not sure Brady has had as good of a receiving back as Jones is. And what of Degurra? Staff and teammates seemed to be pretty excited about him as well. And MVS, Lazard, and St. Brown. It took Adams (and just about every WR Todgers has ever worked with) to become good. I believe there is a good 1 or 2 in there. Then we got Funchess who had 1 good season when he was still developing. As far as drafting Love, I wonder. Rodger's play had obviously been slipping for several years. What changed? Was it the stability in his private life? 2nd year in the new system? Or was it having his replacement on hand reminding him his job wasn't a given and changed his attitude? If I had to redo the draft I would still have taken Love. As far as the draft this year, there are a lot of really good WRs. But there is less known about them. There is a chance of Bateman being there in the first and he would be an immediate impact and a very nice compliment to Adams. Toney is the only other immediate impact type who's has a chance. Then there are about 20 or more WRs who could have developed in a normal college season to be impactful players. There will be WRs taken who will be good NFL WRs. But we will have to wait a few seasons.
