[QUOTE="swhitset, post: 899593, member: 11289"] There is a lot to parse there. First of all... I was not nor am I now happy that love was drafted. However, I am not anti Love. Now that he is a Packer, I hope that he turns out to be great. As far as the loss in the championship game... I think placing blame on the offense or defense.... is a bit pointless. There were definitely things that occurred on both offense and defense that could have made a difference in the outcome. Redmond catching what should have been a sure interception, King not simply defending the end zone on the TD before the half, Pettine deciding that of all times was the time to abandon his patented prevent defense. Aaron Jones putting the ball on the ground on their own 8 yard line. The offense failing to score points after Alexander’s picks.... The refs, deciding to ignore defensive holding and PI throughout the whole game including one that would have negated a Rodgers interception... only to call it at the end of the game ensuring that the game was over, when it appeared that the Packers would have a final chance to win the game. I’m sure I missed a few things.... but the point is... there is no one event or part of the team that deserves the sole blame for this loss. Frankly, while I am immensely disappointed that the Packers missed the opportunity to play in this year’s Super Bowl, i am actually somewhat mollified by the fact that this year... they definitely deserved to be playing in that game, and unlike last year, if any of the above scenarios I listed above had played out differently, they very likely would have won.
