Message: <blockquote data-quote="Heyjoe4" data-source="post: 941252" data-attributes="member: 13032">You remember correctly.  I didn't hate Rodgers, but will man up and admit I didn't care for the pick.  I was living in Nor Cal when Rodgers was QB at Cal and I hated his form.  He'd hold the ball up high, right next to the ear hole on his helmet.  It messed with his release.  But it was good enough for Cal.  Anyone who expected Rodgers to go at #1 were nuts smith was the guy.Ancient and incorrect history.  Rodgers falls off a cliff and TT grabs him.  I think he broke his foot in an early preseason game, and when he took over they went 6-10.  Although Cap has pointed out they had the #5 offense in Rodgers' first year, just a lousy D.  And then in 2009 I think he just exploded.  Wasn't that the year they lost to the Cards in the playoffs with both teams scoring 50 plus points.  I know they lost on a Rodgers fumble, but the guy had arrived.  And then two years later he's holding the Lombardi and the SB MVP.So it's best not to judge.  Eventually we'll have to give Love a chance to prove himself (or maybe not if Rodgers stays for another 3 years).  Now even people who liked Rodgers could not have envisioned the phenom he has become.  Yeah call Brady the GOAT for his rings, that's fine.  But I'm 67 now and have seen a lot of great QBs.  I'd take Rodgers over all of them.</blockquote>
