[QUOTE="PackerfaninCarolina, post: 638240, member: 9364"] I believe there are multiple reasons for the WRs and failure to get open and things of that nature. It is true that when watching closely, I suspect more teams as other posters have stated are probably going to let their corners get up closer more frequently and directly challenge our receivers to get open more often, perhaps taking away those easy slant/seam routes and other of those plays that were kinda just an afterthought in years past. I suspect in the remaining weeks and even heading into the offseason, we may need to change some things up to get a better production against tight man coverage. May involve changing a few routes up a little, but I suspect MM will do this in anticipation of seeing that coverage. It did strike me a little odd though that somehow they seemed to find a way to spring RR free a few times out there against it, and even Devante Adams on that TD catch they seemed to be able to run a bit of a cross pattern or at least a decoy play in there to get the man off him a little. Also saw an out route with Cobb work to beat it on that quick throw late in the game. I think some of us are simply questioning why these appear to be invisible early on in games. Though it's possible Detroit also switched up their coverage to a bad one or after that one PI penalty on Diggs, backed em off a little. It is crazy how a team can go from just looking totally unprepared and totally beaten in every facet of the game and looking like they had no preparation or discipline at all, to making a raging desperate comeback like that to win out in dramatic fashion unlike anything I've seen in a long time. Who knows though, even though I don't see the end to our offensive struggles just yet for the season, hopefully the film of this game will reveal some of those answers MM has said he's looked for.
