Actually, KC lost 3 of their last 5. That nobody corrected me on that says something about how much attention is being paid to KC as a team instead of the fantasy stats. In the Rams shootout, KC had the ball last with 50 seconds, 85 yards to go, one timeout. Tough situation, but it ended in a deep throw pick. In the Chargers game, with 3:49 on the clock and a 7 point lead, KC went 3-and-out from their own 11 while burning only a minute. The series ended on a 3rd. and 12 sack. I'd have to look at the tape to see if Mahomes was supposed to change the play and progression in his head to hit an open receiver. ;) Not getting a first down left too much time on the clock and opened the door for Rivers to take them down for the TD in 8 plays followed by the winning 2 point conversion. Rivers--another guy who should get a top 5 consideration at least for MVP. Then they lost to Seattle. A tight game KC was in while getting scores in the 4th. quarter. While they were mostly undone by a couple of fumbles, they did have three 3-and-outs in the first 3 quarters, the kind of thing that sets fans here to howling about Rodgers. The fact KC lost to 3 playoff teams coming down the stretch does not speak well for the team and, like it or not, that reflects on the QB.
