Yes. Many in the know had him much earlier in the draft. I recall seeing him in Day 1 on a draft board and while it was premature it still shows there’s some scouts that fell in love with John before he settled in to reality. We had 2 OL that disappeared in 2025. I recall Matt saying how our pick #202, Travis Glover was showing big time signs of improvement when he was injured. The guy didn’t even show up on depth charts because of a Camp injury. If healthy he’s probably at worst a good depth piece or competition at Tackle. Great size at 6’6.0” with 1/4” shy of 35” reach. He also jumped 32” vertical which is remarkable for someone that weighs 320lb. Above average speed, semi poor agility but it’s his length snd “get off” explosion that saves him. He’s also in Year 3 and we all know that’s where guys get comfortable in the playbook. Thankfully his injury was in Camp in 2025 so he got shut down and fell off our radar. Yet here’s a 3rd year player out of Georgia State that was the best Tackle in his Conference. That being his “Big Knock” was it was All-Sunbelt. Yet plenty of guys transition from lower echelon competition and go on to have remarkable careers. Just my thing maybe but I always like to say an early season injury is best because it’s like the subsequent season effect is like having another bonus draft pick. Thats my positive spin on injuries! lol
