Jim Leonhard to Start for Bills

Going from a walk-on with the Badger football team to starting in the NFL would be quite a tale.

For Jim Leonhard, it's about to become a reality.

The Tony, Wisconsin, native will be the starting free safety for the Buffalo Bills this Sunday.

The Bills usual starting free safety, Ko Simpson, broke his ankle against the Broncos last Sunday.

Simpon's injury paved the way for Leonhard, who grabbed his first career interception after replacing Simpson in last week's game.

The Bills have put Simpson on injured reserve, so we could see Leonhard in the starting lineup for some time.

Leonhard will make his first career start on Sunday when the Bills play at the Steelers.

He played good for the Badgers. I think he's gonna be a good solid player. I always like to see Wisconsin kids do well. I just wish the Packers would pick more of them, so i could watch them from college to the pros.
