Message: <blockquote data-quote="Mondio" data-source="post: 803181" data-attributes="member: 10441"><p>Seems to be a league wide trend to be teaching them to watch the man and make a play on the ball as they catch it.  This probably came about after there was a spike in DB's turning their heads, the WR would stop and get run over and get free 30 yard plays multiple times a game.  Field awareness, situational awareness etc probably all play a role in how they're coached to play it, sometimes playing man and sometimes locating ball in the air.  and this is across the league, not just in GB.  and BTW, I've never coached a DB or run a camp, but i do watch football and it seems fairly obvious.</p></blockquote><p></p>
