I'm 50, so I missed all of the horrible 70s Packers but did start watching in the 80s. I really started watching after the Bears '85 season, because I figured our team was probably good too. Boy was I wrong! The magical '89 season with the Majik man - the comeback Pack - the Cardiac Pack - was exciting for the first time. Unfortunately, it was still tough to watch Lindy Infante teams. Then came Ron W and our world changed. It was a perfect time for me since I was playing HS football at the same time the Packers became good. They inspired me to keep play all those years despite winning only one game.I suppose that the Badgers got good about the same time under Barry. I went the dark way to Minnesota, endured many years of losing there, but was just able to throw my dad's Badger flag out of my house yesterday! Go Gophers!
