You're forcing the teams who make more money to give to teams who make less money, which is what socialism is at it's core- a balancing at flowing from the haves to the have not's. The NFL draft is also a socialist ideal. The worst teams get the top picks. Best teams get the lowest, keeping a balance. But things like free agency are not socialist. They are capitalist in that the player has a choice of teams, and each team has an opportunity to bid on his services. Either way, it should be acknowledged that the NFL is more or less a private company and is free to run it's business in whatever manner they see fit. Who cares what type of government style it resembles more?</blockquote>
