Message: <blockquote data-quote="packedhouse01" data-source="post: 11964" data-attributes="member: 204"><p>dighthepack and toppackerfan, the bottom line to what Pack66 is saying is that Mike Sherman as GM has made some blunderous errors that have put this team squarely behind the 8 ball.  Now you can't give Grady a big raise because he's injured too often and he only plays 38% of the plays.  When he plays he is totally effective and I'd love to have him, but you can't allow your players to hold up your team.  You only have limited dollars to spend because of the salary cap and so the GM has to decide who to give the big money too.  He did give big money to Hunt, JJ, and KGB, of those 3 KGB is the only one who has kind of played big even though he's only a one dimensional player.  So that doesn't leave a whole lot of money for Grady or Javon.  What has happened with GM Sherman is that he has drafted poorly has very little depth on his team and he gave away the bank to players who don't produce.   So as much as you may like Mike, the bottom line is that he has put this team in a dire straights.  The way he handled the McKenzie situation last year has come back to haunt him now with both Grady and Javon.  The best thing Thompson can do is the bite the bullet and say no, so that the message that will be sent is that players who play like big money players will get the big money and the rest of you will have to take what is left.</p></blockquote><p></p>
