If the Packers invest like that in a safety I'd prefer that be in the much more rare player, the guy who is for sure special, Earl Thomas.  He's on par with a nick collins, the guy we won't name, ed reed, Eric Barry level.  Those are the types of guys you pay that kind if money to and you don't regret it.If you pay Collins you'll regret it, he just doesn't make enough plays.  If your theory is he's the player he's been for 1/4 years and you think that's how he'll play for Green Bay then get him 100%   Because yes in 2016 he was special 125 tackles, 4 sacks, 5 picks.  But I think he's the guy who has zero sacks and never more than 2 picks in any of his other 3 seasons. And it's not like he forces fumbles either, he only has 3 career.  I say pay the proven playmaker</blockquote>
